WINEMAKER NOTES
The 2007 The Phipps Family Cellars 2007 STATUS QUO offers both style and structure, with lively aromas of black raspberry, cracked pepper and mocha, with plush and layered flavors of wild berry, graham cracker, exotic Asian five spice, fresh sage, and cardamom. Ripe yet well-integrated tannins come in on the finish.
Zinfandels from Phipps Family Cellars have become something of a cult favorite among fans of this Cab-Lover’s Zinfandel. Many people can’t get enough - it always sells out - and, most importantly, the juice in the bottle is fantastic year in and year out.
Lush and ripe, this is a decadent wine with excellent structure and great complexity. The 2007 STATUS QUO blend is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Zinfandel, 15% Syrah, and 5% Petite Sirah. Drink now through 2020.
