WINEMAKER NOTES
The 2009 Mélange Blanc marks Phipps Family Cellars’ first foray into making a white wine blend. The wine was 100% barrel-fermented and aged sur-lee for 11 months to create the rich mouth feel.
The Phipps Family Cellars 2009 Mélange Blanc has classic acidity and structure, a round mouthfeel, ripe melon & tropical notes and is blended with a Sonoma Coast Chardonnay that delivers flavors and aromas of stone fruits, pineapple and baking spices in addition to amazing floral aromatics and a rich viscosity. Please enjoy it over the next 2-5 years!
The packaging for the Mélange Blanc is a silk-screened aloha pattern that is inspired by the clean, crisp, freshness of the wine inside.
